Architecture

From the real repo — how the pieces fit.

Morphix

Service Builder → Liferay Objects

01

Overview

DXP · database · Objects API ready

02

Discover

Upload service.xml · map entities

03

Analyze

Plan + dry-run · block portal namespaces

04

Execute

Create Objects · copy rows · ERC = legacy PK

05

Reconcile

Compare counts · fix gaps

06

Rollback or promote

SB tables stay · promote as batch CX when clean

Input: service.xml + SB tables · Output: Objects + entries · Safety: SB never dropped

A Control Panel wizard: each step widens the work until Objects exist and SB tables are still intact.

Morphix turns older Service Builder models into Liferay Objects — structure and data — from the Control Panel. Old tables stay in place so you can check counts and roll back if needed.

What it is

An OSGi module (com.morphix.web 2.0.0) for Liferay DXP 2026.Q2. Open Control Panel → Objects → Morphix. UI is standard Clay. Source: codepapu/morphix.

The steps

  1. Overview — check DXP, database, and Objects API are ready.
  2. Discover — upload service.xml (or a sample). Portal-core namespaces are blocked.
  3. Analyze — review the plan and dry-run.
  4. Execute — create Objects and copy rows (legacy PK kept as external reference).
  5. Reconcile — compare counts, then rollback or promote (batch client extension export).

What it keeps

  • Service Builder tables are never dropped.
  • Later tabs stay locked until earlier steps succeed.
